Client: Sesame Workshop

FableVision and Sesame Workshop share a passion for educational media, so it's always exciting when we get to work together. Here are a few of our collaborations over the years.

Project: Sesame Sings Karaoke

Challenge:
Sesame Workshop needed an animated musical note for their new home video, "Sesame Sings Karaoke." The note needed to interact with a live video of Elmo, as though they were both in the same space, and help introduce the various musical segments of the video.

Solution:
FableVision's own Peter H. Reynolds designed a whimsical note character, and the Fable team brought it to life using Flash animation and matching it to pre-recorded video of Elmo. The note "spoke" in musical sounds (composed and performed by Tony Lechner), and helped Elmo introduce each of the different musical segments. FableVision also created an animated title screen and a musical "ABC" song to round out the production. The video/DVD is now available in stores.

Project: DragonTales Web Games

Challenge/Solution:
PBS Kids and Sesame Workshop tapped FV on the shoulder to develop new interactive games for the DragonTales website. FableVision designed and programmed the "Dragon Fair" Find the Shapes and Connect the Dots games utilizing the existing characters and style of the TV show. Created with simple graphics and Javascript, the games can be played on virtually any browser, with no plugin needed.
