Workshop Overview:
Animation brings classroom assignments to life. Using Kidspiration®/Inspiration® and Animation-ish™, teachers learn how to guide students through the animation process – from storyboarding to animating to creating a movie file that can be shared on a website, blog, or wiki. Teachers will arm themselves with techniques for teaching students how to communicate using technology tools and effectively "show what
they know."
Workshop Objectives:
- Learn how to use Animation-ish and Kidspiration or Inspiration
- Discover how to integrate these tools into daily lessons to help students master content and “show what they know.”
- Explore how students can develop planning, visual literacy, and creative thinking skills through storyboarding and animating with images, photos, and audio narration.
- Learn about iMovie, MovieMaker, various web 2.0 tools, and other easy-to-use audio and video equipment.
- Find out where to access tutorials and additional resources for digital storytelling.
Includes:
- Six-hour workshop
- Animation-ish and Kidspiration or Inspiration software
- Essential resources including online tools and classroom activity materials
