FableVision's Peter H. Reynolds Lands on NY Times Best Seller

SOMEDAY "Storybook for All Ages" Is Favorite Ode to Parenthood

BOSTON, MA - April 12, 2007 - Someday has moms crying, reviewers swooning and cash registers ringing. The unusual storybook, illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds’ and written by Alison McGhee, is about a mother’s dreams for her child, and has rocketed up the charts. "Someday looks like a children's book, but actually the older you are, the more you understand this book," observes Reynolds, whose own daughter recently left home to attend college. Someday has now been on the New York Times Best Seller List for a full month.

Someday (Simon & Schuster) captures the wish every parent has that their children will live life to its fullest. As one recent customer review puts it, "This book ...very simply puts into words both the joy and pain of watching your child grow up. A great gift for all mothers." Someday was recently featured on National Public Radio and has quickly become a favorite gift for mothers, moms-to-be and any parent celebrating the milestones in their children's life.

“When I saw that, at one point last month, Someday had nudged Harry Potter out of the second place slot on Amazon, I realized something unusual was happening,” shared Reynolds. It was not long after that Reynolds found his book perched high atop the New York Times Bestsellers List (Children’s Books) in the number #1 spot. Already well-known for his other "storybooks for all ages" which he write and illustrates (The Dot, Ish, The North Star,) Reynolds penned the spare pen, ink, watercolor and tea illustrations Someday in his first collaboration with Alison McGhee, and is already set to team up again.

One mother who is especially proud of Someday is Hazel Reynolds. “I dedicated the book to my mother. She saw the potential in me, and I was determined to make her dream for me come true.” Mrs. Reynolds lives in Brewster, MA and is very active in her community. “I’m busy with many projects, but the accomplishment I am most proud of is my wonderful children.”

Peter H. Reynolds also founded the children's media and interactive firm FableVision (www.fablevision.com) with his identical twin brother Paul. FableVision is on a 200-year mission to bring the world to a better place through media, storytelling and technology. With new headquarters at The Boston Children’s Museum building in Boston, and offices in Portland, Oregon and London, the FableVision team enjoys an international reputation for its unique brand of innovative, technology-delivered storytelling and learning.
