Peter Reynolds Wins Alumni Recognition Award from FSC Fitchburg, Ma. On Oct 16, Fitchburg State College, Fitchburg, MA, saluted its graduate of 1983 by bestowing the Alumni Recognition Award to Peter for his success in children's media. His work with classrooms around the world, his book The North Star, and his many ways he gives back to the community were spotlighted. The highlight of the evening was having the original North Star Classroom teacher, Dr. Sue Pandiani, and her students there to present the award. Peter shared his story and his thoughts on the way education needs to be more responsive to ALL students' real interests and talents.
