Welcome back FableVision Learning Friends!
First off, thanks for all the great letters from folks about how useful they find our FableFlash!
Our goal, as always, is to not only keep you "in the know" on new projects, products, events, etc. - but to also help make your classrooms the most wonderful places to learn. As you know, we believe in the "blended approach" to learning with technology - the combination of high tech, low tech and no tech. A simple paper poster can play an important part of the whole experience.
Speaking of which, I created a new poster (scroll down) - my gift to you based on a "poem-ish" I wrote to salute teachers.
In this issue, you'll get the quick scoop on some very exciting new initiatives, such as WPSA: World Problem Solvers Agency, to drive the mission forward. You will also meet our new president of FableVision Learning, Paulette Greene, who has been a dear friend of mine and my twin brother, Paul, for over a decade. We're happy to say that we're growing in this challenged economy. I like to think that it is due to the changing climate in education which is welcoming back innovation and creativity to the classroom.
Keep in touch! Join our FaceBook page and follow FableVision on Twitter by clicking here! And thanks, in advance, for sharing this with like-minded educators!
Your friend on the creative journey,

Peter

Paulette Greene Joins FableVision Learning as President
|
Fifteen years ago Paulette Greene scoured the country for a creative team who could cook up a world-class, media-rich program on customer services and carry out her vision for breakthrough education. After searching high and low, she discovered twin brothers Peter and Paul Reynolds just around the corner. Together they produced a best-in-class customer service education program, and successfully introduced e-learning worldwide for a 4.5 billion dollar global hotel and gaming corporation.
Paulette has once again joined forces with Peter and Paul as President of FableVision Learning. She has remained on the forefront of technology and learning throughout her career, always looking for innovative ways to teach and learn. Paulette is known for building world-class service organizations that consistently WOW the customer. Her focus is always on the customer, understanding customer needs, and translating those into products and services that make their jobs and lives better.
"We are thrilled to have Paulette on board," comments Peter, "she brings a new sense of energy and vibrancy to the team. Her experience with educational technology and commitment to serving our customers is shaping our mission to help ALL learners reach their full potential." |

GET
A CLUE® SPOTLIGHT WORD OF THE MONTH
compassion
|
Derivation:
The word compassion comes from the Latin word compassionem, which combines the prefix com ("with") and the root pati, "to suffer." Compassionem, then, means "to suffer with." From this came the French word compassion, meaning "sympathy or pity," which moved directly into English. So, if you want to understand compassion, remember its origins.
Help your students learn the STORIES behind the words. To get your FREE trial of FableVision's award-winning web-based vocabulary software program GET A CLUE, click here. |
