FableVision Guests
1998

Here's what our guests had to say in 1998...

It was at Lesley College's Technology in Education class at Shrewsbury that I first heard about Peter and FableVision. I was so excited after a superb presentation on Software Evaluation by my instructor, Evye, that I wanted to know more about the topic. She arranged to put me in touch with Peter so that I can visit. After visiting your website and reading The North Star, I count myself fortunate to get the opportunity to meet with Pete and the bunch of staff over there.

Congratulations for the good work and see you soon!

I am a special education teacher for Unit #5 schools in Normal, IL.
I have so enjoyed navigating through this web site. It is very inspirational. I have added it to my "Favorites" at home and will bookmark it at school. Thank you. My students will enjoy hearing the stories and the older students who will be reading them will get just as much gratification or more. I am chairing a committee in our district which is responsible for putting together a training manual for the Disability Awareness Fair that we hope every school in the district will embrace. This site is a wonderful resource. Thank You.

What an inspiring and hope-filled site! It focuses on one of those "most important things" that your parents try to teach you ... belief in yourself, your abilities, your talents, and your own uniqueness. Here's to all those lucky souls who find this site, and their own North Star. Voyage bravely!

My Uncle Adam (Bush) works at CF Video next to FableVision. When we visited Boston last summer we also visited FableVision & saw all the cool stuff you do. My Aunt M (Maribeth Bush) knows Peter Reynolds and he signed a North Star book for my birthday. (My brother, Tyler, got one also) We are at the local library right now but soon, around Christmas, we are going to get a computer and a printer. I am 8 years old, my brother is 10. I am in 3rd grade, my brother is in 5th grade and our teacher's names are Mrs. Lockey and Mr. Baker. We're going to look at the rest of your website now.

Bye!

Hello Fablevision Folks,
I came across your URL and am happy to see a flourishing animation studio in Boston. When I left for Disney 2 years ago the only established (sort of) studio in the area was OliveJar. Are they out of business yet?
I am contemplating moving back to Boston if there is an opportunity for full time employment at a studio.
(HINT) (HINT) Don't get me wrong, I'm happy here at Disney and I like California but we really miss Massachusetts...I should have my head examined.
At any rate, if you are looking for experienced Animators or Animation Supervisors, please e-mail me and I'll send you a resume.
Keep up the good work. It looks like you're all having fun back there... that's the way it should be.

I clicked on just to find bio material about Peter for an article I'm writing, but spent an hour reading, printing, smiling, and feeling absolutely delighted and charged that this place exists. Thank you. I, too, am a storyteller, and to see this kind of heart on the web really nourishes my soul.

What a Grand Adventure to discover this home! It touches that space deep inside that looks for a way to teach children and adults to believe in themselves, to reach down deep inside and find the magic! Can't wait to watch it all grow! Thanks so much!

I just read The North Star, it is a wonderful story of a boy's journey that I want to share with my 7 month old son (Herron) as he begins his own journey. The North Star will no doubt be a favorite reading for our family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Peter Reynolds during Roger Wagner's 6th Annual HyperStudio Festival (San Diego, July 1998). Peter's theme of "teaching and learning through storytelling" has inspired me with new ideas for promoting literacy through technology (multimedia) with my middle school students. The students are on vacation for another month still, but I predict that they will LOVE the interactive North Star web site. What a wonderful online resource! I can't wait to share this treasure with the other teachers in my district. Thank you, Peter and Brad! Like Roger and ourselves, your hearts are in the classroom!

I'm giving it as gifts all year! NOW, just tell me how to get it quicker than 4 -6 weeks!

My brother suggested I look at your web site. In addition to professional work as a private scholarship fund administrator, I love to tell stories to children. Some are original, though I have been too much of a procrastinator to ever write them down in literary form...others are retold folk tales. so, that is who I am and how I came to be aware of y'all, as they say in my adopted southland!

My recent issue of Contact had the sad news about my mentor Jim Hammond.... But I was gratified to read about the success of Fitchburg's teachings. When I graduated in 1956, we were still setting type by hand and we used to sit with Roger Holmes and watch television in the dorm sitting room.... Now you folks have a stake in "state of the art" technology that must be rewarding to everyone working there.... CONGRATULATIONS!

I am trying to find my passion in life and I am beginning to think it may have something to do with computer animation and special effects. I would love to have the opportunity to speak with someone from Fablevision to discuss exactly what Fablevision's role is in this industry. This may help me in deciding what direction to focus my career on.

I enjoyed both CF Video and Fablevision's web sites. Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss the ins and outs of your company.
